I realize I'm behind on the tortoise shell trend. While its been everywhere this year I think of it more for Autumn with its lovely browns and golds tones.

I SEE LONDON, I SEE FRANCE...

Last night was a mid-week girls night with my ladies where I arrived more than fashionably late. As always there was plenty of girl talk, we also discussed our upcoming nyc trip. We were joined by male friends who got to listen be privy to the female mind. They enjoyed the talk while it focused on breasts but left shortly after ovulation and the menstrual cycle was brought up.

WHATS IN A NAME...

I love OPI nail color not only for their great line of colors but for their great names to match. I often pick a nail polish first by color and then in deciding between two, go with whichever has the better name.

For example "I'm not really a waitress" is a great shade of red that I love because its look good with my skin tone when most reds are too orangey. And the name speaks to me...Hmm. Then there's the "Black Cherry Chutney" not only because I love the almost-black plum but, at the time, I had an obsession with chutney as it came on this sliced turkey sandwich from one particular restaurant. Others like "Blue My Mind," "My Chihuahua Bites" and "I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic" are just fun.

ADORN YOUR EARDRUMS...

Last Thursday night I went out for my friend's birthday. It was a great girls night and my friend knew the band. I'm musically open to anything but 'american psych folk' isn't my thing. However I LOVED them!

 I'm usually more excited about a band if I can see them live, when you get to see the enthusiasm on their faces while playing. It doesn't hurt to be able to talk with them afterwards. And these guys are passionate about what they do.

WHATS THAT...

I offer you something different.
People have been all over Christina Aguilera for various things. There was her divorce and her drunken arrest (bad Xtina) and her TV show and motherhood (good Xtina) but I've always been a fan and always will be. Yes, I purchased her last CD Bionic (One of the few, I’m told) and loved it. As for her style, no matter what it is currently, I can’t help but to like it because I feel like she’s always true to herself. One of the main reasons I am such a huge supporter is her great vocal talent. Imagine that! There's not many on the radio today with actual talent. Why not support real talent?

Lately things have not been all that great for me. There are just okay days and plenty of 'blahs' to share. If no one else does, I know I'm doing okay. Things right now for me are better than previous years.
After a crappy day I feel the need to sit down and list the things I've got going for me right now.

Really I could go on. What was I upset about before?! Oh, one bad day had me down. But it won't defeat me. After all...
